I bought this hood for a trip to the Galapagos. My husband bought a full-sized, traditional hood. Mine was super easy to put on and off, I can even store it in my pocket and put it on underwater. It was very comfortable underwater. In comparison, my husband had trouble getting his hood on and off without my help. In fact, he quit wearing it after a few dives. His hood was warmer, but he was actually too hot with his. The only down-side to the beanie is NO VENT ON TOP! I consider this a design flaw because it will fill with air during the dive. I may cut my own hole in the top. Overall, I still love my beanie hood.
