Jen HollowayThe best location near Jacksonville to snorkel would be any of the fresh water springs. Among many, you have Ginnie Springs which is one of the most popular. As far as the scuba certification goes, 10 and 11 yr olds have to be a private course, which cuts the ratio in half from Instructor to student. 4 to 1 as opposed to 8 to 1. If you choose to do the private course, we are available on your time. If you call and give us times that work for you and your schedule we will find an instructor from our Instructor Staff to accommodate you and your family. We have an indoor heated pool on-site accompanied by well equipped classrooms. We also have gear for the young ones as well, suitable for scuba. Another popular question is whether or not we will have rental gear to fit junior sizes and the answer is yes. I did the AOW class with Kim a while back shortly after moving back to the jacksonville area and now that I am a full time student I have to wait for breaks in my class schedule to do my certification dives. My next break is from March 23 to April 1st.
