I am a Scuba Instructor and have been teaching since for over 7 years. I've used many types of throws for rescue classes, but this one is by the nicest to teach with. Two reasons:
1) It is small and light. This means it takes up little space with all the other rescue kit needed for the course.
2) It's easy to use. For teaching, it is a breeze. Be sure to try it out yourself though to get an idea of how to throw it.
Downside: you got to dry it out. Some people may not do this, but I like to take care of my kit and the rope absorbs water because it is soft nylon. The softness is great for handling and avoiding burns, but since it absorbs water, you got to dry it out to ensure it doesn't get cruddy.
I have just thrown it into the drier or left it out in the sun.
Great peice of kit. Highly recommended!
