So, you want to get your scuba certification but aren't quite sure where to start? Don't worry, we're here to help! Getting your scuba certification is fun, easy and can be completed in a couple different ways. The steps below will walk you through the scuba certification process and help get you started with the right classes to take, the equipment you'll use, and answer some of the questions you have. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a Open Water Diver certification. Divers Supply has been training new divers for more than 30 years. Learning to Scuba Dive at Divers Supply is much easier than you think! In just 3 easy steps you can become a certified diver. This is a fun and easy process and it will become one of the greatest experiences of your life. Complete all 3 steps of training below for you to become a certified Open Water Diver and enjoy the world of exploration underwater! Step 1 - Academic Preparation To complete the required Academic Preparation you will utilize proven Audio/Visual home based learning systems. This system allows you to master the material in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, and when it is convenient for you to do so. Most participants will take an average of 10-20 hours to complete the Home Study Academic Preparation, but don't worry its developed around a 10 year old being able to complete it successfully. Step 2 - SCUBA Skills & Pool Training After completing PART 1, you will experience the fun and excitement of the underwater world & learn the equipment and skills needed by a safe scuba diver. This Part is conducted In our on-site indoor heated pool, You will learn skills such as mask clearing, sharing air with a buddy, proper buoyancy control, as well as many more. At the end of your skill development sessions you will be ready to enter the real world of Open Water diving and ready to earn your Open Water Certification. Divers Supply Provides: All scuba diving equipment Student Must Provide: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Dive Boots, 2 Mouth Pieces & Lead Weights....Don't forget your Swimsuit & Towel. Step 3 - Certification Dives Now the excitement and fun intensifies! You will conduct 4 fun qualification dives and earn the worlds’ most recognized and prestigious diver certification: During Part 3 you will venture into a real aquatic environment and experience 4 scuba dives under the direct guidance and supervision of a Scuba Instructor. On these 4 dives you will demonstrate your mastery of all required skills and knowledge necessary to be a safe comfortable diver, and acquire greater comfort in the underwater world by gaining your first true underwater experiences. Our certification dives are conducted every month in the famous Springs of Florida and include all certification and diving fees.
