I used this BC as a Space Camp dive tank TA. It was really great then: comfortable, flexible, and small. I had had no problems with it, so I brought it along on my first ocean dive. It worked out really well. I had no buoyancy problems, or comfort issues. The backplate does not cause any stress on my spine, I am in complete comfort with this BC.
I wear an XXS, but it still has the air capacity I need.
I am a 5'2" female about 115 lbs. So, if you are around that range, don't be shy to go for that size. Even then, I pull the straps as tight as they go.
This BC, though unisex, is very comfortable for a woman's anatomy.
You should go for it if you are thinking of buying this one.
