I recently bought glue on thigh pockets and they came with just a 0.25 oz tube of aquaseal to glue them on. It was a joke. I think I used two full 1 once tubes to do the job.
Put a book under the area to be repaired, so it lays flat. Then mark the perimeter with masking tape. That lest you check the alignment before anything is sticky.
Now wear gloves & use cardboard backing and a disposable plastic card to spread the snotty stuff around on both surfaces to be glued.
THen remove the gloves and work fast and neat. Position the pocket over the masked off area. lightly touch one corner and press the pieces together working towards the other corner. Do not fix minor misalognments. Just press out any wrinkles or spots that pull. Then remove the masking tape, pile on about 25# of soft weights to clamp it and wait two days before looking at it again.
I'm getting the 8 oz tube to plug about a dozen pinhole leaks in my drysuit that are getting on my nerves.
