This specialty focuses on compass use, natural navigation, and basic underwater mapping. Don’t rely on someone else to navigate for you or get lost again, take control of your underwater direction and destiny with the PADI Navigation Specialty.   Features Course Overview: The PADI Navigation Diver Specialist course consists of 1 class/pool session, and 3 dives. What you’ll learn: •    Dive planning at mapped sites without surface references or navigational aids. •    Navigation dive participant roles, responsibilities, and procedures •    Techniques for navigating in various underwater environments and conditions. •    Potential problems of accurate navigation and methods for minimizing them. •    Navigation techniques utilizing only the natural environment and surroundings. •    Underwater patterns and navigations role in underwater searches. •    Distance estimation and time estimation and their role in accurate navigation. •    Direct referencing and plotting utilizing the PADI Nav-Finder Prerequisites: •    A PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another agency. •    Minimum 10 years of age.
