I've used this BC in a number of places (lakes, cold water ocean, & warm water ocean). It's very intuitive and keeps things where you want them, when you want them. Some people dislike the back inflate bladder, it has a tendency to push you face first into the water if you have it inflated too much on the surface. Under the water is when it shines, though. With all of your lift on your back and out of your way it makes things alot less cumbersome while gliding through the water. The bottom right dump valve makes head first descent a breeze. Also, I highly recommend getting the "optional" Air XS 2, it makes BC inflation easy and provides a much cleaner octo reg installation (where you want it, when you NEED it). My only complaint would be the occasional trouble with the dumpable weight pockets locking properly - but, hey, they have plenty of velcro to keep them in :)
