The PADI DPV Diver Specialist course consists of 1 class/pool session, and 2 certification dives.

• DPV Ascent and Descent Procedures
• DPV Navigation Techniques
• DPV Equipment Problems and Care and Maintenance
• Considerations for DPV purchase
• Techniques to minimize environmental impact

Prerequisites:

• A PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another agency.
• Minimum 12 years of age.
• Must have DPV (Some instructors may have units for rent during instruction).
• Ability to hover in a vertical orientation without use of hands or fins for 1 minute.
• It is suggested all DPV divers have Peak Performance Buoyancy Skills.
