The PADI Equipment Specialist course helps eliminate that disadvantage. This Specialty course prepares you for basic equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you'll use every diving day.

With actual hands-on experience in the maintenance of your gear, you will be able to save that special dive and aid others with equipment problems. You will gain a better understanding of how modern scuba equipment works, what you can and cannot maintain yourself, what tools you will need, and how to recognize and deal with common equipment problems.

The PADI Equipment Specialist course is designed to introduce and to familiarize divers with the operation and maintenance of their equipment, it will not provide you certification to service your own gear under a manufacturer’s warranty, but it will allow you to fix those problems you or your buddies encounter in the field and save the diving day.

If you are a budding technical or professional diver, this course should be considered a requirement as its essential to understand and be able to safely maintain your gear and fix problems encountered in the field.
