LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE in Charlotte N.C. Learning to SCUBA dive at Divers Supply is much easier than you think! In just 3 easy steps you can become a certified diver. This is a fun and easy process and it will become one of the greatest experiences of your life. Complete all three steps of training with Divers Supply Charlotte PART 1 - Academic Preparation To complete the required academic preparation you will utilize online home based learning systems. This system allows you to master the material at your pace in the comfort of your own home. Most participants will take an average of 10-20 hours to complete the home study academic preparation, but don't worry, its developed around a 10 year old being able to complete it successfully. PART 2 - SCUBA Skills & Pool Training After completing PART 1, you will experience the fun and excitement of the underwater world & learn the equipment and skills needed by a safe scuba diver. This part is conducted In a pool. You will learn skills such as mask clearing, sharing air with a buddy, proper buoyancy control, as well as many more. At the end of your skill development sessions, you will be ready to enter the real world of open water diving and ready to earn your SDI Open Water certification. Divers Supply provides: All scuba diving equipment except the items listed below: Student must provide: mask, snorkel, fins, dive boots, 2 mouthpieces & lead weights and weight belt....Don't forget your swimsuit & towel. PART 3 - Certification Dives Now the excitement and fun intensifies! You will conduct 4 fun qualification dives and earn the world's’ most recognized and prestigious diver certification: During Part 3, you will venture into open water and experience 4 dives under the direct supervision of a Scuba Instructor. On these 4 dives, you will demonstrate all of the required skills necessary to be a safe and comfortable diver. Our certification dives are conducted every month. From November through April, we travel to the springs of North Florida (For additional fee of $99) This includes all certification,diving, and rental fees. Transportation and lodging are the responsibilities of the student. From May through October (weather permitting), we conduct the dives locally at the Lake Norman PDRA quarry, which is in Mooresville, NC(Exit 36) |
