Lake Superior: Great drysuit!!
I say 5 stars out of 5. Let's be honest, at this price point: You're buying the cheapest drysuit on the market. Keep your expectations realistic.
The main thing to be aware of is that this is made from thin material (similar to rain coat thickness). Be very cautious if you spot rebar or other jagged metal underwater, this fabric won't fare well.
Overall, diving this is fantastic!! The inflate / deflate valve work flawlessly. The zipper stays put and has been great. Thus far, the suit hasn't leaked a drop of water. Thinking about it, I doubt I'll ever spend the big money and upgrade to a high end suit. This one does everything I need to do at a "reasonable" price.
Good/ durable zipper
Best price around
Don't need help with don/doff
Wrist/ neck seals fit well
Thin material (but it does have an extra layer of canvas on the front of the legs)
2nd dry suit owned
Dont let the low price fool you this a a good drysuit. My first dry suit was a white that cost 3 times as much but was only half as good as this one. Very easy to get in and out of. If you are really doing some cold diving and some dry gloves and a full face mask and you will be warmer than those left on the surface.
A Great Value
Being a new diver I wasn’t ready to spend thousands of dollars on a dry suit. My local divers supply shop in Charlotte told me to buy this suit. I did buy it and did a dive this morning in the frigid local quarry.
Gotta say the suit worked perfectly...I was dry and warm.
This is a great value without breaking the bank.
Excellent suit for the price
This suit is one of the better suits I've owned. very flexible and economical. Overall for the price, you cant go wrong with this suit. This was my first drysuit purchase and I am extremely happy with my decision. When diving in cold water, I am never going back to a wetsuit again! I would recommend this suit to anyone.
