Cyl-Tec Aluminum 80 Scuba Tank Brushed
The Aluminum 80 cu ft Scuba Tank is the most popular Tank of the diving industry. The tank is a 3000 psi (207 bars) service pressure tank measuring 26.1" (66.3 cm) tall with a 7..25" (18.42 cm) diameter. The cylinder weighs 31.4 (14.2 kg) is negative 1.9 lbs. when full in salt water and is positively buoyant 3.8 lbs. (1.9 kg) when empty.
The cylinder comes with a Pro-style Valve that easily converts from Yoke to DIN. Whether you dive Yoke or DIN regulators this valve will work for both. Valve has easily removed 200 bar (3,000 psi) DIN insert to convert the valve for use with DIN regulators. Valve has a heavy duty design with a smooth operating mechanism and multi-ported burst disc plug for added safety.
Aluminum cylinders, unlike steel cylinders, don't rust, they oxidize. The oxidization of aluminum forms a protective coat that hinders the continuation of corrosion making aluminum cylinders less likely to be condemned due to excessive corrosion.

When it comes to filling tanks using the Pro Valve, there generally isn't a difference between using the yoke or DIN connection. Both connections are used and can provide a secure and effective way to fill tanks. The choice between yoke and DIN often depends on the type of diving you're doing, the specific equipment you have, and foreign areas.
Our tanks come with a 1-year visual inspection.

Cyl-Tec Aluminum 80 will come with a current Hydro and VIP. We ship them empty with the valve installed but ready to go once filled. Some dive shops may require you to do a VIP with them before they fill it, the reasoning is you bring them an empty tank. We cannot control all the dive shops policies but it will have a current hydro and VIP when you receive it.

I have purchased three of these cylinders for my own personal use. Unfortunately, one of them can with a defective valve but Divers Supply fixed it with no questions asked. Their customer service is the absolute best, hands down!!!! So..... fast forward a few months later after my purchase of these tanks. I’d like to speak about the ruggedness of these things. I had just refilled one of my cylinders at another local dive shop closer to my home. I went to a gas station and opened my passenger door and out rolled the tank!!!! Dumb me....... I had put it in my front seat of my truck and forgotten it had rolled over next to my passenger side door. Well.... out rolls the tank and landed directly on top of the valve assembly. It first hit the top of my foot (I was wearing flip flops..... ouch!!!) and then the top of the valve slammed down onto the concrete parking lot. I cringed as I waited for compressed air to start blowing everywhere. But, to my dismay, the top of the valve was barely scratched!!! Thankfully I had a rubber dust cap on it which I’m sure helped with the impact (and just for the record, this was not what caused the damage to the valve as mentioned earlier which DS gladly replaced... lol). Just a dumb move on my part, and a nearly fractured bone in my foot....., DOOH!!!!! These tanks are beautiful and very well built to say the least. I obviously had the tank and valve inspected by an authorized scuba shop and everything was fine and in working order thankfully. These tanks are tough and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Bought a tank. Great price on an aluminum 80. VIP inspection was August 2023, although it had to have been sitting in the warehouse for awhile, because the stamped Hydro (from the manufacturer in China) was 01/22 (20 months old). Box was smacked in shipping (put a hole in the cardboard, cut the mesh on the tank, and put a tiny gouge/scrape on the tank about 1/8 of an inch, but nothing I worry about). Probably buy another tank soon so I can have a second one.
