The first stage features Sherwood's Dry Sealed Spring, a unique flow-by piston design that mechanically balances the air supply, ensuring excellent breathing at full or low cylinder pressures. Made from marine-grade chrome-plated brass, this "fail-safe" mechanism boasts a patented dry seal internal system that keeps the regulator free from contaminants in any diving environment.

With the dry seal function, intermediate pressure can be increased without using messy oils or grease, making the regulator virtually immune to salt, sand, or chlorine. It's the go-to choice for most repair technicians. The first stage comes equipped with two 7/16" threaded HP ports and four 3/8" threaded LP ports for gauges and LP accessories, offering incredible durability and versatility.
