HOG Weight Bag

By Kirk Schooley on September 03, 2022

This is a nice heavy duty bag with a good zipper. My only complaint is the lack of drain holes but I don't think the more expensive bags have drain holes.

Strong bag, with a great zipper and solidly bound handles. We wanted to store our weights separate from our traditional dive gear so it doesn't put undue weight on the standard bags. This holds all of our weights and does so in a stable safe way that will hold up to the test of time. Also with the handles the extra weight doesn't dig into your fingers, very comfortable to carry the distance between the car and the dive site. Would buy again, but won't need to unless as a gift for someone else!

Placed 64# of weights in the Hog weight bag, as it is rated for 85#. Held weights and I cared them without incident.

Thank you for the review of this product.

This is one of those little things that you never think you need until you've had one, and then you can't live without. I'm an instructor and have three now and absolutely love them for carrying weights. I went with the HOG over the Akona to save a few bucks, and I'm glad I did. These bags hold up remarkably well to the elements and TONS of weight. Since they're always going on the boats they've been soaked in saltwater many times over. I usually give them a good soak after, but sometimes I forget, and my first one is about 5 years old now and still going strong. It's discolored and has some minor abrasions in the fabric, but it still works great. Number two is just over a year still passes for new when I rinse it. I just bought the third one to accommodate some more soft weights I just bought.

Thanks for the amazing review

My opinion is that this is a great value, comparatively speaking, and the product appears to have long shelf life and many years ahead....

The bag offers plenty of room for weights and seems to be made of a decent, suitable material. I’ve never had an issue with Hog products.

Thank you for the helpful feedback on this product.

I needed diving weights and this was by far the cheapest I could find them. Happy to make this purchase, and can't wait to use them to keep me under the surface of the ocean!
