The Suunto EON's main priority is diver control and usability. It all starts with full user customization. Suunto claims that this computer will grow with you as your diving skills evolve. The Suunto EON custom display assures us that. You can choose between classic and graphical viewing and define exactly what you want to be displayed, all within 4 custom user displays. The EON is also set up to receive customizable add-on skins and comes with a wrist strap and bungee option for whatever works best for you. Within your custom-set interface, you can cycle between features such as multi-gas diving (up to 20 gases) with air/nitrox/trimix support, integrated tilt-compensated 3D compass, altitude adjustment, alarms/stops, decompression data, gauge/bottom timer mode, timer, depth alarms, and air integration options. Suunto updatable software will save you big bucks in the long run.
The EON's construction is no less impressive. The housing makes use of extremely rugged reinforced composite with over 50% of that being strong glass fiber. The bezel is constructed with brushed stainless steel that will handle years of abuse. Plus, the highly durable and resistant Xensation glass screen will withstand rugged use time after time. The EON is guaranteed to 492' (150m), has an operational temperature range of +32 Degree F - +104 Degree F (0 Degree C - +40 Degree C), and has been tested and tested again for all types of diving. Additionally, the new rechargeable battery will last 20-40 hours of dive time on a full charge and can be charged when connected to a computer or with a Suunto charger.
The Suunto Tank POD Multi Transmitter for EON (see SKU: SQTES) allows you to quickly and easily view your tank pressure from your EON wrist computer. No more reaching aimlessly for a tangled-up pressure gauge. The multi-transmitter is a wireless tank pressure transmitter that works similarly to a Bluetooth device you use with your smartphone. With the new Tank POD and EON computer, you can seamlessly connect up to 10 different transmitters for multi-tank diving.
Suunto has reworked its pairing procedure. All you have to do is pressurize the system and hold your EON close to the Tank POD for pairing. An easy guide menu will be shown on the screen, displaying the Tank POD serial number, battery status, and tank pressure. The Tank POD provides a labeling field for multi-tank/POD use and is transmittable up to 6' (1.8 meters) maximum. Additionally, a green blinking light on the Tank POD will illuminate when paired and transmitting. Transmitter POD is powered by a user-replaceable AA 3V lithium battery. The computer comes with a Tank POD, USB cable, quick guide, safety and regulatory leaflet, protective boot, display scratch guard, bungee adapter, extra strap loop, and Suunto sticker.
