The Underwater Kinetics SL4 eLED MK2 (often sold in a "Safety Box" or retail display pack) is widely considered the industry benchmark for compact, ultra-reliable secondary dive lights.

The "Safety Black" designation specifies the rugged, non-reflective black high-impact polymer chassis.

Built with a digitally regulated internal controller, this Mark 2 iteration dramatically improves upon its iconic predecessor by boosting output to a powerful 600 lumens.

The SL4 has been the gold standard for small utilitarian dive lights for decades. Owning an SL4 is owning a piece of scuba diving history. It is compact enough to slide comfortably into a BC pocket and has a bright center spot to light up dark spaces under any type of diving condition.

Now, the UK is introducing the updated and enhanced Mark 2 version of the SL4. For the first time, we are using a digital controller to take maximum advantage of all four C-size batteries. The SL4 Mark 2 boasts an eye-watering 600 lumens of brightness while retaining all the great qualities that made it the most popular dive light in history.

Primary Applications

Backup / Secondary Dive Light: The slim profile allows it to slide cleanly into standard BCD (Buoyancy Control Device) pockets, making it the perfect reliable backup for daytime reef diving or night dives. 

Commercial & Industrial Safety: Highly favored in marine engineering, industrial inspection, and fire/rescue applications due to its non-conductive, rugged body and extreme waterproof rating. 
Wreck & Cave Exploration: Ideal for examining tight, overhead environments where bumping into overhead rock or rusted steel is a hazard.

• Advanced Digital Controller: The MK2 incorporates internal circuitry that optimizes power consumption, ensuring consistent brightness over the lifespan of the batteries rather than a sudden drop-off.

• Tightly Focused Penetrating Beam: Utilizing a custom-machined internal reflector, it produces a high-intensity center spot designed to pierce murky water, light up deep coral crevices, or peek under dark ledges.

• Impervious Polymer Construction: Made entirely from high-impact, corrosion-proof proprietary polymers that completely resist saltwater damage, making it far lower-maintenance than aluminum alternatives.

• Ergonomic Toggle Switch: Features a single-handed, thumb- or index-finger-activated toggle switch that is easy to manipulate even when wearing thick neoprene diving gloves.

• Protective Rubber Overmold: A heavy-duty rubber sheath is molded over the front bezel to shield the lens from impacts and significantly reduce glare while in use.

• Emergency Survival Glow: If the batteries are nearly exhausted, the MK2 is engineered to drop into a low-draw state, continuing to emit a few lumens of usable emergency survival light for up to a week.

• Machined reflector yields a bright center spot, which gives the light the ability to penetrate the darkest ledges or murkiest water
