Aluminum 80 Scuba Tank Package

Cyl-Tec Aluminum 80 Scuba Tank Brushed

The Aluminum 80 cu ft  Scuba Tank is the most popular Tank in the diving industry. It is a 3000 psi (207 bars) service pressure tank measuring 26.1" (66.3 cm) tall with a 7. 25" (18.42 cm) diameter. The cylinder weighs 31.4 (14.2 kg) and is negative 1.9 lbs. when full in saltwater and positively buoyant 3.8 lbs. (1.9 kg) when empty.

The cylinder has a Pro-style Valve that easily converts from Yoke to DIN. Whether you dive Yoke or DIN regulators this valve will work for both. The valve has easily removed 200 bar (3,000 psi) DIN insert to convert the valve for use with DIN regulators. The valve has a heavy-duty design with a smooth operating mechanism and multi-ported burst disc plug for added safety. 

Aluminum cylinders, unlike steel cylinders, don't rust, they oxidize. The oxidization of aluminum forms a protective coat that hinders the continuation of corrosion making aluminum cylinders less likely to be condemned due to excessive corrosion.

  • This tank ships ready to fill (empty) and is DOT/TC certified. Federal law requires the tank be shipped unfilled.
  • 3000 psi Scuba Diving Tank has an Air Capacity of 80 CF. Working Pressure = 3000 psi (207 bar)
  • Salt Water Buoyancy (Full) = -1.9 lbs; Salt Water Buoyancy (Empty) = 3.8 lbs
  • This tank is perfect for both beginner and experienced divers! This tank is intended for use in scuba diving
  • Includes a new Combo Valve (accepts both DIN and K-type connections). Cylinder height with valve = 29.75"

 Note: All Cyl-Tec cylinders are, shipped empty with the valve installed with current VIP sticker and meet certificated specifications of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) with DOT-3AL specification and Transport Canada Safety and Security (TC) with TC-3ALM specifications. Purchasers should check with other country requirements to know if the cylinders are certified for use in that country.

Are there any incentives to buying my tank in my local store, such as 1st fill and maybe valve cover ? When I bought my last tank (from a small, independent shop) they did...so thought with your volume-buying, my local Dive Supply shop may do that too ?

We need them for nitrox. Will They require new hydro for nitrox, or will my dive shop put stickers on them and fill them for nitrox since they are new?

Hi Wallace, it really depends on the shop you take them to and their policy. The tanks are certified for 40% O2 and the valve comes installed with o2 certified o-rings and lubricants. The tanks come empty to you every shop has a different policy. Some shops will make you get a new VIP if the tank is empty? Here we charge a Recertification fee of 15 dollars plus the nitrox sticker to do a new tank with a valve that has o2 certified o-rings and lubrication. I would check with the shop you will be taking them to.

Can I get a Nitrox sticker on the new tanks since they are O2 clean?

Since the new tanks are O2 clean and can blend nitrox up to 40%, you can buy a Tank and Nitrox sticker for them.####The valves are O2 Cleaned the tanks sometimes need to be inspected and cleaned or re-cleaned we usually charge a $15 recertification to do this if you are bringing your tanks to be filled at a station that partial pressure fills tanks we recommend doing this because they will use 100% O2 then top it off with air.

When I get the tank will it have visual inspection and a hydrostatic test done or will I have to go do that.

I have read the 80 tanks are certified for usa and canada. Does this mean they won't be certified in the Philippines? Or, a dive shop won't fill them in the Philippines? First time i have learned a tank might not be usable wherever u go? Please advise. Thanks for your help. Stan

Not sure what the regulations are in the Philippines ? In the USA and Canada they are regulated by DOT and CTC and they meet those requirements and are stamped and certified! You should check with the local Philippines dive stores to find out what your regulations are!

Hi. No sir this tank is only stamped for use in Canada and USA. US Department of Transportation (DOT) with DOT-3AL specification and Transport Canada Safety and Security (TC) with TC-3ALM specifications.

The "lead in" ad indicates free shipping on a 80 C.F. tank. When I go to check out it lists a shipping cost as item "ships separately". Can you tell me what it would cost for a brushed aluminum 80 C.F. tank and DIN valve to be delivered to me in Yardley PA 19067? Thank you Dr B. K. Marshall

Yes, this is the most common tank size so it will work with just about any BCD with a tank strap.

Hi Faithe, Tank is Manufacturer is in China and the Valve comes from Taiwan. The Distributor we buy them from is in the USA and the tank is certified by DOT.

Quantity only allows 1...I need 3 tanks will you please sell me 3?
