Aqua Lung Computer I550C with Compass NH

The i550C is an easy-to-use, rugged and versatile dive computer perfect for both new and seasoned divers alike. Equipped with a comprehensive suite of features, including Bluetooth, gas integration, Nitrox and Gauge modes, backlight technology and gas time remaining in an easy-to-read, large face console, it allows you to focus on your dive. The i550C is easily customizable, with an optional quick disconnect for convenient storage and a top mount compass, making this computer the sure choice for your dive kit.

Wirelessly manage your dive data and settings on your mobile device via the computer’s Bluetooth connectivity and after the dive share your memories, stats, photos, and location on social media all through the free DiverLog+ app.

Disappointed

Both computers arrived with battery covers that were impossible to remove. Spoke to my local dive shop technician and he stated this is a common defect for Aqualung computers. Not Divers Supply’s fault but clearly problem that Aqualung needs to fix. Returned for refund and now reconsidering which brand of dive computer I should invest in.

Really Good Computer

This is a really good computer. Used in here locally in Southern California and on a recent trip to Bali (highly recommend visiting there...the diving is GREAT!!!)
It uses the more conservative Pelagic Z+ (PZ+) decompression algorithm, but if your primary dive profiles are recreational in nature, this is a good thing, as it really does focus on safety with moderately conservative computations.
The readings are easy to see (nice large font) and easy to understand, and you can reconfigure it via the DiveLog+ app.
I do recommend this computer for anyone looking for a user-friendly, relatively versatile computer.

On Our Third One With Problems

This has been a great to use dive computer when it works well. However we have had issues. My wife and I got matching i550c computers. We have ours serviced annually and after our first service BOTH only lasted one dive before salt water intrusion ruined the batteries. Aqualung replaced the originals and the replacements lasted for a good 20 dives until one of the two leaked and we had to replace it with a cheap gauge set from the dive shop as a loaner. Three dives later the other one went down. The covers are hard to remove. We are on our third set of computers now after Aqualung had taken them back. If I had to do it over again, I would just get a cheap rental grade gauge set and wrist computer as a primary.
