Product Description

Cressi MC11-SC Zen Regulator Set

The Cressi MC11-SC Zen Pro Silver Regulator System (SKU: HX793151 / HX793051 / CRS-HX793151 / CRS-HX793051) is a high-performance, cold-water-rated regulator setup engineered for technical, temperate, and cold-water scuba diving.

It pairs the environmentally sealed MC11-SC diaphragm first stage with the balanced, lightweight Zen Pro Silver second stage, delivering consistent inhalation effort regardless of depth or cylinder pressure.

The MC11-SC uses a hyperbalanced diaphragm mechanism.

This system is designed to maintain consistent intermediate-pressure delivery as cylinder pressure decreases during a dive.

The Cressi MC11-SC / Zen Pro Silver is a premium, compact scuba diving regulator designed to deliver smooth, consistent breathing performance in demanding underwater environments, including cold-water diving.

This regulator combines two specialized components:

  • MC11-SC first stage: An environmentally sealed, hyperbalanced diaphragm regulator designed to provide consistent intermediate pressure and reliable airflow.

  • Zen Pro second stage: A lightweight, thermally conductive second stage designed to deliver comfortable breathing while reducing the risk of freezing.

One of its most important technologies is Cressi's PressureSync system, which helps maintain stable intermediate pressure throughout the breathing cycle. The first stage features a hyperbalanced diaphragm mechanism, an electroless nickel-plated brass body, and an environmentally sealed chamber. This sealed construction helps protect internal components against icing and contamination from particulate matter.

The Zen Pro second stage uses a thermoconductive technopolymer construction, designed to transfer heat and reduce the risk of freezing in low-temperature water. Additional features include an adjustable Venturi system, radial pressure openings, a large purge button and a practical hose-routing configuration.

The combination makes the MC11-SC / Zen Pro a versatile regulator for recreational divers who want lightweight construction, reliable breathing performance and cold-water certification. Cressi describes the regulator as suitable for environments ranging from temperate reefs to ice-diving conditions, subject to appropriate training, equipment configuration and operating procedures.

Product Type: Environmentally Sealed Balanced Diaphragm Scuba Regulator System

Primary Function: Reduces high-pressure tank air to a breathable intermediate pressure and delivers smooth, low-effort airflow at depth in contaminated or freezing waters.

First Stage (MC11-SC): Hyper-balanced diaphragm first stage equipped with a Sealed Chamber (SC) cold-water kit that isolates internal moving parts and spring mechanism from external ambient water.

Second Stage (Zen Pro Silver): Pneumatically balanced second stage with a lightweight techno-polymer body, metallic front trim cover, user-adjustable inhalation resistance knob, and Venturi dive/pre-dive control lever.

Target Diver: Cold-water divers, deep recreational divers, technical divers, and travelers needing a rugged, high-performing regulator for all water temperatures (38°F–80°F+ / 3°C–27°C+)

FEATURES:

  • Hyperbalanced diaphragm increases airflow as pressure drops
  • PressureSync technology stabilizes intermediate pressure
  • Environmentally sealed first stage protects internal parts
  • High capacity conical filter supports cleaner airflow
  • Experience effortless breathing with the hyperbalanced diaphragm first stage, ensuring reliability.
  • Enjoy superior air delivery and consistent performance, even in challenging dive conditions.
  • The lightweight design enhances comfort for extended underwater adventures, reducing fatigue.
  • Benefit from the environmentally sealed first stage, offering exceptional durability and easy maintenance.
  • The thermoconductive polymer second stage provides a comfortable and responsive breathing experience.
  • With 2 HP and 4 MP ports, this regulator offers versatile hose routing for your dive setup.
  • Thermoconductive polymer case reduces ice formation
  • Radial pressure openings help minimize free flows
  • Adjustable Venturi controls surface and dive airflow
  • Downstream design supports fail-safe performance
  • T-shaped port layout improves hose routing
  • Cold water certified EN 250 A below 10 Degree C

Key Advantages

  • Environmental Isolation (SC Kit): The Sealed Chamber prevents water, silt, mud, and ice crystals from contacting the main diaphragm or spring, eliminating internal freezing risks and protecting internal components from corrosion.

  • Dual Adjustment Control: The second stage allows fine-tuning on the fly—stiffen inhalation resistance during deep dives or heavy currents, and adjust the Venturi lever to prevent free-flows during shore entries.

  • Hyper-Balanced Delivery: Intermediate pressure increases at greater depths at a rate higher than ambient hydrostatic pressure, compensating for increased air density to deliver effortless breathing at deep recreational or technical limits.

  • Optimal Hose Layout: Four low-pressure ports are angled symmetrically to route primary hoses, octopuses, and drysuit/BCD inflators cleanly without sharp bends or neck pulling.

Tips & Tricks for Maintenance, Use & Storage

Free-Flow Prevention During Entries

  • Set the Venturi lever on the second stage to the "Pre-Dive" (-) position before entering the water, jumping off a boat, or walking through surf. This disrupts surface air vortexing and stops accidental free-flows. Switch it to "Dive" (+) once underwater.

Fine-Tuning Inhalation Resistance

  • Turn the side adjustment knob counter-clockwise to soften inhalation effort for easy breathing on relaxed dives.

  • Turn the knob clockwise when swimming into heavy currents or when scootering with a DPV to prevent ambient water pressure from forcing the valve open.

Post-Dive Rinsing Protocols

  • Keep Dust Cap Sealed: Always dry and firmly lock the rubber dust cap over the first stage inlet filter before rinsing in fresh water.

  • Do NOT Press the Purge Button: Never depress the second-stage purge button while the regulator is unpressurized and submerged in rinse water. Pressing the purge allows water to travel backward into the hose and first stage valve mechanism.

Annual Service & Storage

  • Store the regulator unpressurized with hoses relaxed (avoid tight coils or kinked hose wraps).

  • Have an authorized Cressi technician check the internal O-rings, seats, and intermediate pressure annually to maintain EN250 cold-water certification.
