After spending a few years with my heavy-duty and rugged dive wing, I read about the Dive Rite Hydro Lite wing in a recent Scuba Diving magazine and thought I'd check it out. No dives yet but so far, the fit and easy adjustability is amazing, the extra D-rings, going from 4 on my old wing to 6 on this one, are perfect for me. I'm a self-reliant diver and the extra rings allow me to mount my 13lb second across the chest nicely. The ditch-able weight pockets are a nice touch too as I use a weight belt with my old wing. Granted this will be used for warm-water diving only but the light-weight and completeness of this wing are the perfect solution for me as a traveling diver. This is my second piece of gear from Dive Rite and the quality and design are second to none. I'd like to offer my condolences to the Dive Rite family too as I was deeply saddened to read of the loss of their son Jared.

I've been using my Hydro-Lite now for a year and a half, now my go to BC for travel. Light weight and easy to pack, have used it in the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico. It is extremely comfortable, and very easy to get on and off on a pitching boat. It dries quickly on the ship balcony, ready for another day of diving or the trip home. I added a couple of additional weight pockets on the tank strap for when I need to go above 12 lbs. Dive Rite is the way to go...
