OCEANIC EDX FIRST STAGE REGULATOR DIN

The Oceanic eDX First Stage Regulator (SKU: 40-7590 / 40-7591) is Oceanic's top-of-the-line cold-forged, over-balanced diaphragm first stage.

Engineered specifically to handle extreme cold water, silt, and demanding depth profiles, the eDX is the primary first-stage pairing for the high-performance Delta 5 second stage.

The eDX offers a balanced diaphragm design and is made of forged chromed marine brass. The balanced diaphragm, first stage regulator is inherently environmentally sealed. Water enters the main spring cavity and the pressure increase from the water is transmitted to the internal components by the impermeable diaphragm membrane. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the delicate internal parts are exposed-to-contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants can cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. A diaphragm first stage regulator requires less-maintenance then regulators that allow these contaminates to enter the internal mechanism.

In addition the eDX first stage regulator has a secondary diaphragm to completely seal-off the main spring cavity. A sealed balanced diaphragm design isolate the main spring cavities internal components from the environment. It also means the eDX is excellent for ice diving (it won't freeze up) or diving in waters filled with contaminants or sediment (it won't corrode).

Over-Balanced Diaphragm Design: As depth increases and breathing gas becomes denser, the over-balanced mechanism automatically increases intermediate hose pressure slightly higher than standard balanced first stages, ensuring effortless inhalation effort at extreme depths.

Dry Environmental Seal: Completely isolates the internal main spring chamber from contact with surrounding water using a secondary sealing diaphragm. This design prevents internal icing during cold water or ice diving and protects sensitive internal mechanics from salt, sand, silt, and pool chemicals.

Cold-Forged Marine-Grade Brass: Constructed from heavy-duty, cold-forged brass with a triple-chrome exterior plating for superior structural integrity and high resistance to impact and corrosion.

Ribbed Heat Exchanger Ribs: Features integrated exterior metal heat-exchanging fins to maximize thermal transfer from ambient water into the valve body, significantly reducing freeze-up risks in freezing environments.

Port Configuration: Equipped with 2 High-Pressure (HP) ports (7/16-20 UNF) and 4 Low-Pressure (LP) ports (3/8-24 UNF) angled specifically to allow clean, low-drag hose routing for both primary, octopus, transmitter, and console setups.
