great stuff

Thank you for your review, Roger! We're glad you love our Hog 5lb Drop Weight Pockets Small Pair. Have a great day!

By Albert on May 14, 2022

I have added these to my old BC which didn’t have them, and they were great.
I also used them on a rubber weight belt; I use it on a dive boat and borrow their weights.
I love the design, construction and price.
These are nicer than the weight pockets which came on a BC I recently bought for warmer water diving.
Hog makes good gear; I’ve used a lot since I began in 1964.

By Paul BUSWELL on October 22, 2021 Verified Buyer

Very well made and functional

By Travis Brooks on January 29, 2023

Very good price on excellent product.

By Andrew on November 12, 2023 Verified Buyer

Bought these to install on a back plate and wing. The weight pockets are solidly made and there is nothing that has to click in. Pull the straps and the lead only falls out. Great product at a great price!!

Thank you for the feedback

By Naomi Wooten on February 15, 2024 Verified Buyer

Great addition to my BC. The pockets are well built and look attractive, but the best thing is that I have a way to ditch weight in an emergency.

Thank you for taking the time to give us this review

By Nikolai Teigen on March 04, 2024 Verified Buyer

Great product. Needs additional glides to keep in place.

Thanks for the great feed back

By Albert Siewers on July 19, 2024 Verified Buyer

Top quality gear and excellent service. I just sure wish they still had a store in the Tampa Bay area

Thank you for the great feedback

By Benjamin Bishop on August 18, 2025 Verified Buyer

They were easy to put on my belt of my hog BCD. I needed to die with 6 pounds and they were able to hold a 6 pound weight in each.. very pleased with the design and and the ease of which you can release the weight.

Thank you for your meaningful feedback.

By Michael Boger on November 30, 2025 Verified Buyer

Needed a set for my backplate system i built with the gear from your charlotte shop. Didnt have them in the store so had to go this route

By Ronald Bonner on August 21, 2018 Verified Buyer

The Store was easy to navigate, The prices are the best I had found, product availability was not a problem, and the checkout procedure was fast and simple.
I recieved the purchase quickly too. I give Divers Supply a giant OK sign, and 5 stars !

By Kenward Vaughan on November 21, 2018 Verified Buyer

Prices are reasonable and I've never had problems with their service. Seems like a decent place to work with!

By Kenward Vaughan on December 05, 2018 Verified Buyer

Compared with other weight pockets I have seen, these do a very good job on my harness for less money. I got the 10 lb. versions this time because I want to use the extra space for storing some small items.
The method used with these works very well--the weights are securely held by the Velcro and there is minimal exposure of the loops to outside issues. It's nice having the zipper opening at the top to facilitate loading weights.
DS did a (usual) good job of getting them out to me promptly. Much appreciated!

By Mike Lake on March 31, 2019 Verified Buyer

Awesome site and awesome supply

By Matthew Magness on June 04, 2019 Verified Buyer

I got them for my BCD not for weight but for a spare mask and safety sausage.Worked perfect!

By Larry Palmer on October 26, 2021 Verified Buyer

These pockets are just what I was looking for to complete a backplate and wing set-up that I just put together. They seem to be very well made and will hold plenty of weight.

By Naomi Wooten on July 14, 2023 Verified Buyer

Well designed with flaps for safety so weights won't accidentally fall out. Great stitching and perfect size.

By Sean Allison on November 02, 2023 Verified Buyer

Ive added these to 3 of my scubapro litehawk BCs so far (im an insrtuctor). The pouches that come with the litehawk bc don't hold enough weight for some students. I add these to the jacket along with the included pouches. These are also easily ditchable. Great product.

Thank you for your excellent feedback

By James Schmidt on July 06, 2024 Verified Buyer

By James Schmidt on December 20, 2025 Verified Buyer

Took advantage of sale to pick up my second set of these pockets. Simple and cheap, they tuck back nicely toward the back of the waist belt. They do stay in position better with a slider between the web loops. Unobtrusive overall

Thank you for the excellent feedback on this product.

I bought the HOG TBCS and the customer service and items were both top notch. A friend has somehow misplaced his backplate and I owe him for dog-sitting. Figured this would be a good payback!

By Jaygn74 on October 07, 2025

By Benjamin Bishop on August 18, 2025 Verified Buyer

Quick install on my hog, BCD and and the rubber tank holder add-on was a great accessory. I like the camlock cause I feel like I can get them pretty tight and these were easy to tighten down.

price is nice, size is good, nice add on

Thanks for the great review!

By Michael Dugan on October 11, 2024 Verified Buyer

The product is well made and will work really well on my BPW. I would have given it 5 stars, but I went with 4 since it didn't ship with the hardware necessary to connect it to the BCD. I'm sure that's mostly on HOG for not including the BCD the proper BCD bolts and screws with the pockets, but they're kind of a critical piece and I'm sure most customers assume they'll be included.

By John Borg on September 29, 2025 Verified Buyer

I really liked the HOG Quick Release weight pockets and how secure they stayed close to my backplate and didn't shift down toward my stomach during the dive today like my other weight pockets, which cost twice as much! HOG makes great gear at great prices!!

Thank you for your valuable feedback on this product.

By Christian Eckert on January 05, 2026 Verified Buyer
