JBL Small Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs
JBL Hydro Seals Vented Preformed Protective Earplugs Aqua Ear Plugs For Scuba and Free Diving. JBL Hydro-Seals utilize an advanced multi-baffle polymer design providing exceptional protection against water entering the ear canal.
Exclusive Hocks Noise Breaker allows normal sound waves to pass through while preventing pressure build-up from water intrusion, making them ideal for divers that have trouble clearing their ears at descending depths. Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs are doctor recommended and are preformed for left and right ear to give a custom fit.
Picking the right size:
Hydro Seals come available in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Fitting is determined by the size of the user's conchal bowl (outer ear canal). Note that medium fits most people.

We would recommend seeing an ENT doctor to have custom earplugs made.
JBL Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs form a force-field-like barrier to keep water out of the inner ear while not completely sealing it. As a result, sound waves are able to pass through while water intrusion is prevented. This makes them ideal for divers who struggle to clear their ears as they descend.
Hi Jeannie, thank you for your question about the JBL Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs. Yes you can wear them under a swim cap. I hope this answers your question and thank you for shopping at Divers Supply!
Yes according to the MFG they are designed for this.
Thank you for the question if your outer ear canal is less than one inch that would be the size small, one inch would be the size medium, larger than one inch would be a size large.
Yes, the JBL Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs can be used for free diving without damaging your ear.
Thanks for the question. When fit properly the JBL Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs will keep water completely out of the ear canal.
Thanks for your question the small size will fit some 10-12 year olds not a 3 year old.

These are very soft and fit into the ear canal and fit into the form of the outer ear to stabilize them. Our whole family wore them swimming on our vacation and the kids used them at camp when they swam. This is the first year we’ve all been clear of swimmers ear infections. The color is perfect because our son’s fell out once in the pool.. it sank to the bottom (surprisingly) and we found it immediately! We used ear drying drops as a precaution later just in case. They are totally worth it! Mediums fit everyone.. adults and teens. We will never be swimming without these. We could hear pretty well, they do pressurize under water so hearing does diminish. We found with a bit of adjustment outside the water hearing was clear again. The customer service is amazing.. I ordered them the week before we left.. there was a backorder issue so they called us to see what we wanted to do. The earplugs were in stock in days and we had them just when we needed them. Thank you so much for accomodating us!!
