Cenotes in Cozumel, deep water-filled sinkholes formed by water percolating through the soft limestone soil for thousands of years, are restricted to qualified cave divers with appropriate credentials, so if this is you, this stunning island will be your ideal place. The island is different from north to south. While the most experienced divers often move toward the northern beaches, southern beaches are more suitable for families to enjoy some quiet, calm white sands and blue warm waters.
