As a lifeguard and surf instructor for over 40 years I've learned to buy the best gear.
A cheap, faulty valve might lead to inhaling water.
At the least, a poorly designed mouthpiece quickly becomes uncomfortable.
Most of your life is above the water dealing with shit, so when you're diving you should make be most of your alternate reality.
