What you can expect to learn:

  • Required equipment, its purpose, and safety procedures.
  • Proper spearfishing etiquette.
  • The Do's and Don'ts of spearfishing.
  • Why spearfishing is the best method for selectively harvesting your catch.
  • Harvest and hunting techniques along with some tips and tricks.

The Class:

  • Includes: Academics, 2 Training Dives, and 3 Additional Dives to hone your skills
  • The dives will be held in Panama City Beach on the dates below.
  • Classroom session will be conducted at Panama City Dive Center on Fridays at 6:00pm.
  • Saturday and Sunday we will conduct our training and practice dives.

  • Standard Dive Gear
  • Dive Computer
  • Florida Saltwater Fishing License (www.myfwc.com)

Loved this experience. Chris and Jerry were amazing instructors and I had a great time and felt super comfortable after the training. Price was less than any place we looked at in FL. Major thumbs up.

Awesome Trip/Class

To start out I was not going to take the class because i didn't think about all the details and stuff that go with spearfishing. Chris put it this way and ill never forget it. so you shoot the fish and then what. lol so simple but so much after that. It goes with the That dog would not know what to do if he catches that squirrel. When he ask me what next I said pull it in i guess. He said how do you know what you shoot or if it was a legal size? Where is you gun at? How do you grab the shaft to know you don't lose the fish? Where did you shoot the fish at? After those few questions I signed up for the Spearfish with Chris class and it was awesome. He showed us a great time and we all learned a lot. The basics are easy but all the tips and tricks to make sure ou are getting the most meat and ensuring you are able to land the fish are invaluable. I feel confident going spearfishing now on my own boat now that i took the class. If i could give this class a 10 star i totally would.
