Key Advantages

• UltraClear Optical Glass: Standard mask lenses use float glass containing iron particles, which creates a greenish tint that distorts colors and degrades underwater light transmission. Atomic’s UltraClear glass allows up to 96% light transmission for brilliant natural colors and razor-sharp clarity.

• Panoramic Field of Vision: Moving the lens closer to the face expands vertical and peripheral vision, making it easier to read gauges, check BCD pockets, and monitor your dive buddy without excessive head movement.

• Comfort & Fit Flexibility: The supple silicone flange adapts to a wide variety of facial structures without leaving heavy pressure rings on your skin.

• Pocketable Backup Mask: Because it lacks a rigid plastic frame, the Atomic Frameless folds flat, making it the ideal low-profile backup mask to store in a thigh pocket or BCD storage pouch.

Tips & Tricks for Pre-Treatment, Fit & Maintenance

Essential Pre-Dive Scrub (Removing Factory Film)

• Remove Silicone Haze: Like all new masks, a thin film of silicone vapor coats the inner glass lens during manufacturing. Scrub the inside lens thoroughly using a non-abrasive mask cleaner or plain white toothpaste (non-gel). Rub with your thumb for 2–3 minutes, rinse with warm water, and repeat twice before your first dive to prevent persistent fogging.

Checking for Proper Seal

• Place the mask over your face without using the strap. Inhale gently through your nose. If the mask creates a light suction and stays on your face without leaking air, you have a proper seal.

• Strap Tension: Do not over-tighten the mask strap. The water pressure at depth will push the mask against your face. The strap only needs to be tight enough to hold the mask in position on your head.

Buckle Adjustment & Packing

• Adjust the squeeze-to-adjust buckles while the mask is on your face by pulling the strap ends backward.

• When packing for travel, always store the mask inside its hard case to protect the optical glass from scratches and prevent heavy gear from deforming the silicone skirt.

Post-Dive Care & Cleaning

• Freshwater Flush: Soak in warm, fresh water post-dive to clear salt crystals from the squeeze buckles and silicone skirt.

• Drying: Air-dry in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight, as UV radiation breaks down silicone flexibility over time.
