The 500 PSI Mask Scrub (2.0 Ounce) is a specialized, professional-grade pre-cleaner formulated specifically for new scuba diving and snorkeling masks.

Mask Scrub gently removes residue left on new dive mask lenses by the manufacturing process and prepares the surface for the initial application of 500psi Mask Defog.

When a dive mask is manufactured, a thin film of silicone off-gases from the skirt and deposits onto the glass lenses. If this factory residue is not completely stripped away before the first dive, it will cause the mask to fog up repeatedly, regardless of how many standard anti-fog drops you apply. This abrasive scrub is engineered to micro-polish the glass, safely removing that factory film to prepare the mask for optimal anti-fog performance.

500 PSI Mask Scrub is specially formulated to clean new and old mask lenses before defogging. 500 PSI Mask Scrub gently removes mold release from manufacturing processes found on new masks, which can prevent defogging solutions from working properly. Removal of the mold release assures that your mask defogger will work properly.

Periodically use Mask Scrub to remove residue buildup on older masks for crystal clear lenses. Easy to use, just apply a small amount to the dry interior lens surface and rub in firmly using your fingers, then just rinse in fresh water to clean. 500PSI Mask Scrub comes in a convenient 2 fl. oz. (59 ml) applicator.

Important Compatibility Warning: This product is designed strictly for tempered glass lenses. Do not use this scrub on plastic, polycarbonate, or prescription lenses with specialized external anti-reflective/UV coatings, as the abrasive nature of the scrub will scratch or damage those materials.

How to Apply:

1. Apply a dime-sized drop of the 500 PSI Mask Scrub to the inside and outside of both lenses while the mask is dry.

2. Using your clean thumb or a soft cloth, rub the scrub firmly into the glass in a circular motion for 1 to 2 minutes per lens, paying special attention to the corners where film accumulates.

3. Rinse the mask thoroughly with clean, fresh water until all white residue is entirely gone.

4. Repeat this process a second time for brand-new masks to guarantee full removal of the factory film. Your mask is now ready for standard anti-fog treatment before your next dive.
