The B2 gives divers an close alternative to the all-Titanium T2. The signature Atomic breathing performance is nearly identical. The B2 is ergonomically designed to be the world’s most comfortable second stage just like the T2. The key difference is the chrome-plated Brass body of the B2 first stage, which is more economical without sacrificing performance. That’s why the B2 has garnered more awards from independent tests and reviews than any other regulator on the market.

I've been diving this regulator for over 10 years and love it. I brought 2 with me to Antarctica and they performed flawlessly. I'm putting 75 dives a year on them in a variety of conditions from the Gulf of Maine to the Gulf of Mexico, wreck diving and spearfishing. Always reliable. You're paying for superb quality and it is well worth it.
Thank you for the review! We are happy to hear you were pleased with your gear. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with in the future! Happy diving!

People, mostly dive shops, push these regulators like crazy, likely due to the high markup of them, but let me tell you the price doesn't equate to value with this regulator. One thing to realize quickly with this regulator is, unlike other real high end regulators (and even some cheap ones) there are no parts for life, you'll pay for parts each and every time you take this in for servicing. Want environmentally sealed? Up front it is more expensive and each service you do on it will add about another $60-$80 of christo-lube, in addition to the other parts and service labor.
They push this swivel hose like its something innovative, and it is not. In fact, I had more issues with mine than anything, leaking, and then the swivel not smoothly functioning being the top two problems. This is with impeccable care taken on my equipment, it is immediately rinsed at the dock and then properly rinsed at home when attached to a cylinder (read up on how to properly rinse a piston 1st stage, its a PITA). Nevertheless, this reg breathes terribly compared to other regs in the price range. Even in warm water diving I would constantly get dry mouth and throat using this regulator, and it was only after switching to another regulator, I won't list the name here, but after the switch my dry mouth and throat issues disappeared.
Also, with a DIN setup, this 1st stage wasn't the easiest to attach, it just felt clunky and you have to be cognizant not to turn the housing itself while taking it off and on as you may actually loosen the DIN attachment from the 1st stage housing!
Overall, you're not paying for much more than a name and some fancy marketing to oversell a regulator that doesn't breath that well and is expensive to service. Finally, as I've come to realize even here in the US, there aren't as many dive shops who carry Atomic, have parts for them, or even someone to work on them and I have been told this issue is even worse in other countries. Spend your hard earned money on a better regulator.

I can’t understand why anyone would give this a negative review. I bought mine about 10 years ago and it still breathes great. I have been many places and used other brands but nothing compares with how well this reg breathes at depth. Warranty is great even though I have never had to make a claim. Can not say enough good things about how much I love this regulator.Never had any problems getting mine serviced through divers supply as well as other dive shops
Thank you for taking the time to give us this review
