I've been diving the waters around Boston in a Henderson 7mm wetsuit with a 3mm hooded vest. The first dive is fine, but the second one always gets cold.
I decided to spring for the Bare semi-dry, and the difference is night and day in 50°F water. I took it out for the first time yesterday and was completely comfortable through two 80cf tanks - about 2.5 hours in the water. I was skeptical at first, but now I’m sold. I’m confident I’ll be able to dive year-round in this suit.
I know I could be diving dry, and eventually I probably will be, but I just like wetsuits - and this one keeps me super comfortable. For reference, I’m a 5'10, 150 lb man and bought a size MT.

Love the suit. I got it a few weeks ago and have been dying to get in the water with it. I live in Indiana so the quarry waters can be a little cold. I was able to get it wet on 3/14 and my entire body was warm for 40 minutes of my 45 minute dive at 41degrees. The last five minutes were not bad, but I did start to feel it getting cold. I also had the Bare 2mm Exowear socks in addition to my 5mm boots (feet stayed toasty and much easier to get boots off afterwards) and the Bare Ultrawarmth 5mm gloves (my hands were cold – not freezing, but cold the entire time also difficult to remove). I am 6’3” 250 lbs and the 3xl fits perfectly. It was easy to get on. Although I could zip it myself, it is easier to get help. Getting out did require some help to get arms out when wet (I was able to dry but it was a struggle, no chance with wet skin/suit).
