Sirius Dive Computer

The Sirius is a diving computer that resembles a watch, blending elegance and technology effectively.

The Sirius Dive Computer combines technology and elegance. Mares designed the new Sirius watch-style dive computer with a high-resolution MIP color screen that makes it easy to see the watch's face in any lighting. With its stylish and sleek design, this watch face allows you to seamlessly dive into your daily life! The Sirius packs features that are top-of-the-range technology both for the recreational and Extended Range diver. The recreational diver can see dive data in a simple, intuitive way, with the possibility of integrating tank data using the optional tank module. The Extended Range diver can insert up to five nitrox and trimix mixes.

Key Features of the Mares SIRIUS

  • Battery Life: Up to 30 hours of diving on a single charge (500 recharge cycles).
  • Durability and Water Resistance: Robust build designed for both recreational and technical diving environments.

Watch Mode
There are plenty of functions in the Mares Sirius Dive Computer. The functions are grouped into two categories, each corresponding to a specific mode of operation. When you're on the surface the computer is in Watch Mode. In this mode, you can use it as a normal watch. You can also change settings, review your logbook, use the dive planner, see remaining desaturation after a dive, download to a smartphone, and much more! The Sirius can communicate via low-power Bluetooth and the apps MARES or MySSI directly to a smartphone to transfer logbook information or to perform firmware upgrades.

Dive Mode
Sirius monitors depth, time, and temperature and performs all decompression calculations. Dive mode is broken down into four sub-categories:

  • Pre-Dive: Actively monitoring ambient pressure to start calculations the instant it is submerged below 1.2m/4ft.
  • Dive: Access to the compass, bearing settings, stopwatch, and Gas Switch Table for multigas dives.
  • Surfacing: Dive time calculation is halted; if the diver submerges within three minutes, the dive resumes.
  • Post-Dive: Closes the logbook and displays desaturation time, no-fly time, and surface interval.

Safety Features

During a dive, the readability of the display ensures that divers can easily access critical information such as depth, decompression status, and no-decompression limits. A clear display reduces stress and cognitive load, allowing for safer informed decisions even in challenging scenarios.

Rechargeable Battery

The Sirius uses a rechargeable battery. A full charge allows for up to 30 hours of diving (depending on backlight usage and water temperature). If the battery level drops to 15% during a dive, a low battery warning will appear, indicating you should start your final ascent.

Maintenance and Care

To maintain your Mares Sirius, perform routine checks and ensure the charging contacts are clean. The device features a rechargeable system, eliminating the need for frequent battery replacements.

Summary
The Sirius is a watch-style dive computer that perfectly combines technology and elegance. It is suitable for both recreational and Extended Range divers, with the ability to handle up to five nitrox and trimix mixes. Thanks to the changeable strap, it can be used with any suit thickness. Available in black or black/silver versions.
