Nautilus LifeLine Marine Rescue GPS

The all-new Nautilus LifeLine Marine Rescue GPS is less than half the size of our original radio and is incredibly simple to use.  Undo the latch and open it, turn it on, remove the red distress cap, and press the red button.  That’s it!   Your GPS position is accurate to 1.5 meters, and a man overboard distress message will be broadcast to all AIS-equipped ships up to 34 miles away, as well as a special DSC message to the marine radio on your own vessel.   Your Nautilus LifeLine floats and is waterproof in all sea conditions.  Just keep the o-ring clean and forget about it for the next five years! Don’t get left behind!

What depth is this rated? How do you test it? How often do you change the battery?

This unit is depth rated up to 450 feet. To test the unit, you would press the blue button to turn the unit on, it will begin flashing quickly when a satellite is found. It is recommended that you change the battery every 5 years or before the battery expires, as marked on the battery in the unit.

Hello I am interested in purchasing a Nautlius GPS, however, have never owned anything like this before. Is it reusable and after a boat has picked me up can it be reset for a second use? Cheers Jane

Thank you for your question! No, the Nautlius Lifeline Marine Rescue GPS does not require any sort of subscription. Just pop the batteries in and you're good to go! I hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!

I need to use to communicate with our boat .. diver on surface and able to contact boat .. without signalling other boats to assist .. can it do that ? The original one uses the blue button on channel 14 but I am not sure if th Nah styat capability thx.
