Tips & Tricks for Installation & Maintenance

Aligning the Base Assembly

  • When replacing or reinstalling the M13 screw, ensure the plastic equalizing base plate and washer are positioned flush against the inner visor track before tightening.

  • Align the wire form bracket into the base slot so the nose pad height can be adjusted freely.

Hand-Thread First & Moderate Torque

  • Always start threading the screw by hand to avoid cross-threading into the polymer housing.

  • Tighten until snug using the appropriate driver. Do not over-torque, as over-tightening can crack the surrounding polycarbonate visor material or deform the base washer.

Pre-Dive Fit Check

  • After installing the screw, test the equalizing mechanism by pushing upward on the nose block assembly from the outside of the mask to confirm that the base stays rigid while the wire form pivots smoothly.
