The SCUBAPRO S-Tek Shoulder & Waist Pad Color Kit (SKU: 23.616.00X / SCU-23.616.00X) is a modular padding and color-customization accessory set designed for SCUBAPRO’s S-Tek Pure and S-Tek Pro technical diving harnesses.
Molded from durable Monprene® elastomer, the kit adds shoulder cushioning and waist padding while allowing divers to color-coordinate their technical backplate rig.
Traditional technical harnesses use unpadded 2-inch (50 mm) webbing straps to keep profiles low and buoyant lift neutral.
The S-Tek Shoulder & Waist Pad Kit provides ergonomic cushioning using non-compressible Monprene® material that does not trap air, absorb water, or change buoyancy at depth.
The modular design allows quick installation onto $2 ext{-inch}$ webbing without needing to fully unthread the harness assembly.

These multiple-colored Shoulder & Waist Pad Kits are made from molded Monprene material which not only allow you to color coordinate your dive kit but add comfort too. Each color kit includes two shoulder pads and two waist pads. Available for the Scubapro S-Tek Pro System, S-Tek Pro Harness, S-Tek Pure System and S-Tek Pure Harness. Each S-Tek Back Plate Pad weighs 9.6 oz. (272g). Wanting to Match Your Team or Stage Gear is not only logical and smart but a easy way to have that Cool Factor. Use brightly colored pads to differentiate your rig from other divers' setups during technical diving expeditions. Bright colors can improve identification on boats and at dive sites. Operational Tips & Pro Tricks
Positioning for Heavy Load Transfer: Slide the shoulder pads along the webbing so they rest directly over your collarbones when wearing your exposure suit. This distributes heavy twinset or stage cylinder weight evenly across your shoulders.
Securing Waist Pads Relative to D-Rings: Position the waist pads behind your hip D-rings. This provides lower-back cushioning while leaving the front harness webbing clear for stage bottle attachment and weight pocket sliding.
Easy Installation Trick: Apply a small amount of fresh water or mild soapy water to the webbing slots when sliding the Monprene® pads into position. The lubricant eases installation and evaporates quickly after positioning.
Maintenance & Storage: Rinse the pads with fresh water along with the rest of your technical harness. Store the rig out of direct sunlight to maintain material flexibility and color vibrancy over time.
