Many small knives I have had (past tense HAVE had) are at the bottom of lakes, rivers or the ocean. This lock is the most secure I have found. It is a small knife - best suited for hose mount, BCD mount or pocket of a BCD. It does not seem to rust like others I have had that were stainless steel. I particularly like this small knife for snorkeling warm water with a wrist strap and no gloves.
