When using a Full Face Snorkeling Mask, you can breathe while keeping your face down and out the snorkel out of the water. However, the air supply will be cut off once the snorkel is submerged.

Hi Ken, thanks for your question on the Ocean Reef Aria Full Face Snorkel Mask. When you measure for the size you measure from your chin to the bridge of your nose. The straps are stretchy and will adjust. For the S/M it is 4.5" or less and the L/XL is 45" or more. The proper way to find your size is to Measure from the bridge of your nose to the bottom of your chin. if it is over 4.5 inches order the L/XL if it is under 4.5 inches order the S/M if it is under 3.9 inches order the Xsmall.

The best way to determine what size mask to get for the Aria Full Face Snorkel Mask is to measure from the bridge of your nose to the bottom of your chin (diagram under additional information tab under product). If that measurement is greater than 11.5cm/4.5in you should get the L/XL size. If the measurement is less than 11.5cm/4.5in you should go with the S/MD size. As always, the best way to know if the mask will fit you properly is to try it on at one of our retail locations. I hope this helps! This manufacturer only makes this mask in a grey/orange. However Mares has a similar mask (Sea-Vu Full Face) in a black/grey.

This is the best way to snorkel! No water goes in from the breathing tube part and you can dive under water! No more soreness from the old face mask and mouth piece version that I used to use.
