Sea Elite Scout Compact Regulator is one of the most affordably priced regulators you can buy. Small compact yet rugged designed regulator the Sea Elite Scout Compact Regulator combines performance and reliability in a small package. If you believe that you shouldn't have to sacrifice performance for price, the Scout Compact is for you. Rugged and economical, this regulator is a great choice for a new diver’s rig or can take the high-use demands of a rental department. It can also be used with either Air or Nitrox up to 40 % right out-of-the-box.
This dependable regulator with its Un-Balanced Sport Piston design does not need constant adjusting, is easily maintained and serviced and also is ideal as a stage bottle regulator system.The easily serviced non-balanced fail-safe 1st stage has 4 low pressure ports and 1 high pressure port and is only 5.5” long. This compact and lightweight 1st is chrome plated marine brass and provides years of reliable low cost diving.
The sturdy ABS/Polycarbonate 2nd stage with Soft Push Silicone purge cover and soft bite mouthpiece weighs just 5.2 oz. and measures 3.25” by 2.5”. The small internal case dimensions results in an extremely low in water breathing effort. The Sea Elite Scout Compact Regulator connects these 1st and 2nd stages with a 28” rubber hose that is more flexible than other rubber hoses and thus reduces hose pull and mouth fatigue.

Good Day Roman, That regulator is not environmentally sealed, it is recommended that you purchase an enviromentally sealed regulator.

Hi Bryce, The second stage leaking usually indicates that one or both of the seats ( in 1st and 2nd stages) are no longer holding the pressure. Looking at your purchase history it look like this regulator was purchased back in 2015. Usually seat need to be changed every 2 years. I would recommend you having them serviced if that is the case. Sea elite regulators come with free parts for live so the will rebuild them with new parts you just pay for the labor which is 44.95 for the regulator and 18.50 for the octo total 63.45. Have tested it in the pool, and have used it to 40 feet in a freshwater lake. It breathes just as good as the one I spent over $600 on! ???? Be hard to go wrong with this if you are on a budget. I let my kid use for his OW cert. Now that he is done using he can upgrade and I will drop this in a reg bag and take it on vacay as my trusty backup. It has proved it's worth to me. I'll dive it anytime!

So far so good. Flexible hoses are a nice to have. Very light weight 2nd stage. Kudos to Divers Supply, and to Sea Elite for offering an affordable regulator as a choice. You don't have to buy an expensive regulator to get the job done for recreational diving.

We bought two sets of these regulators with a gear package. We have 20 dives on them and one in a up current swim in Key Largo. One of the divers in the group was low on air and had to Octopus breathe back to the boat. Had them down to 70 feet so far. Very good performing regulator in a brisk swim under a heavy workload. Good regulator for the money. The first stage is a piston/unbalanced which is not a problem. If you're looking for a balanced first stage go with the Sea Elite covert.
