Sea Elite Scout BCD
This jacket style buoyancy compensator is designed with light weight material and makes it a great choice for divers who travel by plane. Comes with integrated lock weight pockets a simple and easy to use weight system. The back is soft and padded and has a rear rubber area with a strong grip strap to safely attach the tank. Two generous zip up pockets allow stowing of even bulky accessories. On the back of the jacket two trim weight pockets allow for perfect distribution of the weights between these pockets and the integrated weight system. All the D-rings are made from a light weight resin material. Can be folded up so that it can be stowed easily. This very light structure and its anatomical shape make it a very tight-fitting and streamlined jacket once underwater and it offers very little resistance to forward movement.

I would go with a small one. These usually run true to size from the size chart.

The biggest difference other than cosmetics it the Edge Element has low profile dumps that have one way valves to keep water out. The Scout has standard dump valves.
Hi Ron, thank you for your question on the Sea Elite Scout BCD. This product does not come in a XXXS, the Seac Ergo BCD does come in a XXXS. The Ergo is a jacket style BCD and is around the same price point.

You should go by the waist measurement on the size chart. It is the most important measurement for this BCD. Waist (in) XS- 23-27 SM-28-31 MD-30-36 LG-36-40 XL- 41-46 XXL- 47-50

For most people, you can go by what size shirt you wear. Sounds like you would probably be a Large. It can be a little difficult to size perfectly based on just height and weight, but almost all of the straps on this BC are adjustable to fit.
The Sea Elite Scout BCD weighs depending on the size between 5 to 7 lbs.

Just did 20 dives with the Scout BCD that I recently bought. It is well constructed and I had absolutely no difficulties with it.It fit well and was comfortable. It's nice that it has an integrated weight system with drop-able and the Non-drop-able weights. The Non drop able are located high in the back of the BCD and general weight balance is very easy and nice. It has very nice zip pockets in easy to get to areas with plenty of space to store flashlights and other stuff. And the whole package is pretty compact and doesn't weight too much. I was easily able to get it , my reg package and most of my other dive gear in a flight carry on bag.

I purchased a complete kit including this BCD. After several dives I am very impressed with the quality. The fit is true and very comfortable. Integrated weight system is excellent. Two ditchable pockets in the front and two non-ditchable trim pockets on the back. I have had no problems with trim, buoyancy or lift with this BCD. Even includes a very nice tether for your flashlight or other tools in one of the zipper pockets. Highly recommended if purchased in a kit.
